Grandma, this is for you. I am officially a blogger. Here are some pictures of our recent vacation.






Cody, Patrick, Rylie, Ian and Jax came to Utah on the way to California. We went to Bear Lake where Dane and Patrick enjoyed some quality time together. Dane loves "PoPo"! We thought it was funny that Dane called him that since Patrick is a policeman. (For those of you who still don't understand, popo is what they call policeman.)

The Muir Woods were really cool (literally). Yes, we have blankets on.

Alcatraz was a highlight of the trip. We rode a ferry to the island and put on headphones for a tour. It was really well done and we all enjoyed it.



We went to the famous Pier 39 in San Fransisco. I would love to spend more time in San Fransisco next time we go.




The kids went to Disneyland for the very first time! Chance and I made a quilt for the "Give a Day, Get a Day" volunteer opportunity they did this year. We were able to get free tickets. They gave us a pin the wear when we got there and the workers would tell us thanks for volunteering when they saw it. We had a GREAT time!

Dane and Grandma Texas are twins!

The main reason for our visit was to go to my awesome grandparents 70th wedding anniversary. Look at what they started. This isn't even half of the family! The kids had fun visiting them and riding in their "pimped out" little red sports car (aka the golf cart). They had the best golf cart in the whole park! Once I find my picture of it, I will post it.

We went to Sutter's Fort and Sutter's Mill (where gold was discovered)...

We went to Lake Tahoe on the way home. Thanks for coming with us Pop Pop! We probably wouldn't have made it without you! We had a great time. The only thing that would have made it better was Chad coming with us. Maybe next time he will have enough vacation time.
